HappyNest
Brand Identity & App Design

Identity Design, Logo Design, App Design, Web Design

Reconstructed a brand identity for the real estate investing app, HappyNest. Once stylized with juvenile, cheesy visuals, the new branding for the company still needed to maintain an approachable voice and tone to capture the intended audience of people intimidated by financial markets. So my designs became a duet of sturdy, technical typography and grids, splashed with vibrant colors and motion.

At your fingertips.

The design of the app stands as the truest test of the brand identity. Here, the interface is lively and friendly, encouraging the user to explore and interact. Features are split into different color groups to ease navigation, and critical information is arranged deliberately to ensure confidence.

When words aren’t enough.

Dense as the topic of investing often is, a smart visualization can help ease in the uninitiated. My approach was to blend cartoonish levity with a depth appropriate for the subject matter. It was important that the visuals be clearly recognizable, but not plain or condescending. Familiar, but with a twist.

Home, sweet home.

The website stands as the hub for all things HappyNest, needing to be both comprehensive and easily parsed for users new and old. This matrix of information fits neatly onto the clean, functional grids of the brand’s style, while also leaving plenty of space to incorporate bold typography with splashes of colorful graphics.
