Noble Cut Distillery
Brand Identity & Package Design

Identity Design, Logo Design, Type Design, Package Design, Copywriting, Photography

Relaunched the midwestern Noble Cut Distillery with a fresh brand identity, beginning with introducing the world to their new signature vodka. With an increasingly diverse line of spirits, the old look no longer represented their bold future. Effectively minimal and strikingly elegant, the new brand plants their flag on the top shelf with conviction.

Part of the family.

Each new and existing spirit from the house of Noble Cut needed to feel connected related, though not too homogenous with the next. The branding and labels were developed with this range in mind, while utilizing a set of signifiers to create a recognizable family of products. Patterns, paper stock, typographic style—the right balance of constants and variables used to make each unique but linked together.

Subtle applications of embossing accentuate small but key elements of the label.

Setting the mood.

With their new artful, sophisticated look dressing their bottles, we aimed to capture the same mood in their photography. Draped in stark shadows, warm light, and rich textures, we curated their image to elicit excitement and intrigue.

In your own words.

To truly give the brand the feel of a premium product, I set out to craft the custom font “Guilfoy,” named after the founder of the distillery. Distinguished with a wide stance and its many graceful curves, this typeface represents both the company and their products for the many years ahead.

A modified, serif version of the font is used as the masthead for the signature vodka.
